3rd Annual Persimmon Awards
Yesterday, May 20, 2026, I had the honor of attending the 3rd Annual Persimmon Awards, celebrating extraordinary Women of Achievement at the Carlisle Country Club. The event, sponsored by the YWCA of Carlisle and Cumberland County, was a beautiful tribute to leadership, service, and the power of women lifting women.
The afternoon opened with heartfelt welcome remarks from Maddie Young, YWCA President & CEO, followed by an inspiring keynote from Ashley Walkowiak, Executive Director of the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Women. Their words set the tone for a celebration filled with purpose and gratitude.

- Whitney Baler, Carlisle High School Counselor
- Judge Jessica Brewbaker, Court of Common Pleas
- Jean Foschi, Cumberland County Commissioner
- Kelly Smith, Pennsylvania State Trooper
Congratulations to all — your leadership truly makes a difference.

Empowering Professional Women Through the Power of Color and Style
Held Friday, May 12, 2026 – Messiah University
The Business Women's Forum that was held at Messiah University, sponsored by the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce and the West Shore Chamber, was a powerful reminder of what happens when ambitious, driven professional women come together in one room — magic.
As a Signature Style Strategist, I had the extraordinary privilege of connecting with women from across industries who are stepping boldly into their power and recognizing something that the most successful women already know:
Your personal image is your most valuable professional currency. Color and Style are not about fashion - they are about communication, confidence, and commanding the room before you say a single word.
The response was overwhelming. Professional women are waking up to the undeniable truth that a personalized Color Analysis and Style Strategy is not an indulgence — it is a strategic investment in their career, their brand, and their presence.
Were you at the Forum? I would love to continue the conversation.
Did you miss it? There has never been a better time to begin your style transformation.
A personal Color Analysis and Style Strategy Session with Karen Nordaby will help you:
- Discover the colors that elevate your natural beauty and authority
- Build a wardrobe that communicates confidence, credibility, and authenticity
- Walk into every room — and every opportunity — feeling completely and powerfully you

The Seneca Diabetes Foundation’s 21st Annual Chairman’s Ball was an extraordinary success, bringing together supporters, partners, and community leaders for an unforgettable evening in celebration of purpose, generosity, and Memphis‑style soul.
Guests were welcomed into a fully immersive Memphis Blues–themed experience, where every detail—from the décor to the entertainment to the culinary selections—was thoughtfully curated to honor the rich culture and spirit of the American South. The night’s entertainment delivered the heart of the theme: deep Southern Blues performances that captivated the room and kept the energy high throughout the evening. The musicians brought authenticity, talent, and a joyful sense of nostalgia that resonated with every guest.
The culinary team elevated the experience even further with a menu crafted to Showcase the bold flavors and beloved tastes of Memphis. From smoky, soulful notes to classic Southern comfort favorites, each dish was a tribute to the region’s legendary food culture and was met with enthusiastic praise.
Most importantly, the event succeeded in its mission—bringing the community together in support of the Seneca Diabetes Foundation’s ongoing work. Inspiring Women Empowered by Faith
I was thoroughly impressed by this event on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Chef de Crepe in Camp Hill, PA. It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful it is when women come together with honesty, courage, and faith. I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect walking in, but I felt drawn to be there — and I’m so grateful I followed that instinct.
The room was filled with women openly sharing their struggles, their breakthroughs, and the strength they’ve found through Christ. I met incredible women committed to personal growth, confidence, and stepping into their true identity. These are the kinds of conversations that fuel transformation and deepen community.
A heartfelt thank‑you to Chef de Crepe for creating this much‑needed space for fellowship, reflection, and empowerment. When women gather with purpose, faith, and vulnerability, something truly special happens.
Feeling inspired and uplifted as I continue my own work in helping women present themselves with confidence, intention, and authenticity.

What an incredible day at Moxy Salon!
Our Color Analysis Event on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 was an absolute success. Every woman who scheduled an appointment left thrilled with her new, personalized Color Palette — the smiles, the confidence, the “aha!” moments… it was everything I love about this work.
The response was so wonderful that we’re already planning another Color Analysis Seminar in early April. Stay tuned for details — you won’t want to miss it.
A heartfelt thank you to Shanna Warren, Owner of Moxy Salon, for hosting this beautiful event and welcoming everyone with such warmth and enthusiasm.

An unforgettable evening at Ashcombe Mansion
On Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, we hosted another inspiring session in our Educational Series — and what a beautiful night it was. Guests enjoyed lite hors d’oeuvres, lovely libations, and a guided tour of the stunning Ashcombe Mansion before diving into the heart of the evening: discovering the value and empowerment of Color Analysis and Color Communication.
The energy, the conversations, the “aha” moments… it was truly a great success.

Classic Rock Design Center
I was honored to be invited by Karina Bulick of Cambria USA to speak at the Classic Rock Design Center hosting an event for the NKAB organization, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The showroom provided the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to understanding how color influences not only our appearance, but also how we feel and communicate.
The event was a tremendous success. Attendees — both women and men — had the opportunity to discover which colors, shades, and hues best complement their natural features, including skin tone, hair, and eye color. Watching guests light up as they saw how the right palette enhanced their look was truly inspiring.
Throughout the evening, we explored:
- The science and psychology behind personal color analysis
- How undertones guide color selection
- Why certain hues elevate confidence and presence
- Ways to apply color knowledge to wardrobe, accessories, and even professional branding
The engagement, curiosity, and enthusiasm in the room made the experience unforgettable. I’m grateful to Karina and the Classic Rock Design Center team for their warm hospitality and for creating a space where education, design, and personal transformation could come together so beautifully.
"It was very nice meeting you last week. I very much enjoyed the Color Analysis. I’ve been looking to expand and update my wardrobe since I’ve been growing out my hair in my natural color. I have an upcoming trip to the Los Angeles area and I used the Autumn color palette to order some new clothes over the weekend in colors I would have never tried before. Thank you again!" -- Nicole
